Wade King Elementary School is the 15th elementary school for the Bellingham School District. It is constructed on a 17 acre wooded and sloping site. The 52,000 SF two-story school is home to 500 students and includes 21 classrooms, gymnasium, commons/cafeteria, administrative areas and other support spaces. Zervas was part of a joint venture called Studio 15 which was formed specifically for this project. Wade King Elementary is the first sustainable school in Whatcom County.
