Meridian High School
- Location: Bellingham, WA
- Client: Meridian School District
- Size: 110,000 SF
The complex, which has been a high school site since 1912, contained structures and additions from various eras dating back to Old Main (1922). The new $20.3M facility was carefully designed in a phased sequence which did not displace any students. As new phases were completed, students moved, allowing old structures to be demolished, making room for the next phase.
The result is a new 110,000 SF facility housing classrooms, Gymnasiums, Commons/Cafeteria, Library, Administrative Offices, Locker Rooms and a Careers and Technology Center. The sitework includes a new central courtyard, new student parking and a separate bus drop-off area.
