Irene Reither Elementary School
- Location: Everson, WA
- Client: Meridian School District
- Size: 64,000 SF
The new 64,000 SF wood framed school replaces an aging and inefficient facility. The new structure is located on the same site as Irene Reither Primary School (K-3) and 10 Mile Elementary (Grades 4 & 5). It is situated so that the construction could be completed with minimal disruption to the existing buildings. Upon its completion, students from both adjacent schools moved into the new school and the older primary school is being demolished making way for new play fields.
The new facility design allows for separate entrances and traffic patterns for buses and other vehicles resulting in a much safer environment for the students.
The new facility located in rural Whatcom County includes its own onsite sewer treatment system and water storage capabilities.
