The new Station 81 is a replacement for the existing station in Everson. The area is experiencing rapid growth leading to an increase in service and expanded facilities to match. The site of the existing station does not allow room for expansion so the District purchased a new 2 acre site just south of town.
The new 17,800 SF facility is designed to accommodate the current and projected growth and is situated outside the flood plain which is an issue throughout the area.
The 2-story, wood framed design includes apparatus bays for up to 10 vehicles, administrative offices, a training/community meeting room which can accommodate 50, sleeping and living quarters for 8, a fitness/wellness area and other support spaces.
